Revival Sermons...being uploaded

I am no one special, as far as men go, but God has ordained that all who would accept Christ as the Only Begotten of God, that they would indeed become special in His eyes. In truth we have become the sons of God, and we have this excellent treasure within these earthen vessels, that is our bodies. Even though they are vessels of clay, we are the Body of Christ on the earth, and so I speak as I have been called to do.

For those interested, I have began the uploading of our sermons on revival, and they can be accessed for the moment by following this link.

With Every Temptation...

I am preparing to pray for a few moments and Ross' post reminds me that the Lord, will not, as Saint Paul declares, suffer us to be tempted above what we are able, and perhaps more importantly; He always gives us an opportunity to escape!

So often the Holy Spirit has spoken to me saying, stop, look, listen, get on your face, etc. Right in the midst of a severe temptation, and I have so often ignored Him. It is so critical to listen when He says "Give me a minute, and I will get you through this."

Isaiah 61:3 "To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified."

We have the ability to put on the garment of praise! How do we do this? By simply opening our lips, perhaps lifting our outstretched hands. I typically begin to sing to the Father, occasionally even chanting the Psalms, but most often I simply begin by praising him for His goodness, His presence in my life, the blood of Christ, and I could go on for hours. The thing that I find so powerful is the fact that God inhabits the praises of His people, and when I praise like this He always shows up, indeed He always makes His presence known.

Do I see Him? I don't have to see Him, but His presence is often tangible, even to my physical senses, not that this is necessary, or to be sought after as some end, in and of itself, but this is how we deal with heaviness, or depression, sorrow, and weights that are simply more than we want to deal with.

Put it to the test, His word never fails!
