Preparing for the End
And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Romans 13:11-12 NIV
I lost my aunt this weekend. I know she must be in a better place, her life here had become really unbearable. My faith tells me that death is a beginning, not really the ending it seems here on Earth. And this bible passage seems a reminder that we never really know when that day of our salvation and liberation will come.
I am continuing to struggle with faith at times. I can feel the faint warmth of growth in Jesus, but I definitely do not have the faith and the serenity that I see mirrored in true Christian's eyes. I know it's too soon for that.
I pray the prayer "Enter Holy Spirit..." daily. I beg Jesus to enter my soul and make me aware of His light. I seek His love and warmth. Come Holy Spirit, bring me to Jesus.
