We all know this one

I have been troubled these past days. Nothing huge, mostly, just the daily wear and tear of life as we live it. Here is a wonderful promise to me, that has helped me tonight, as I wonder, worry and hope.

A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Isn't this a wonderful and loving promise from the Father who cares for us? I struggle sometimes to hang onto my faith when times are both hectic and not all I would think they could be. So I pray, asking God (again) for faith, and repeat "Enter Holy Spirit" when I am not at peace.

And where is Jesus Christ through all this? I am working on my faith in Jesus as best I can, seeking communion with Him. I am focussing on belief in Him, within my heart and soul. Enter Holy Spirit, and teach me the love of Jesus, the faith that He died that I might live, the inner openess that I need to hear the message.
