Ralph Stanley...

I just finished listening to Ralph Stanley and his group singing "Amazing Grace" in the traditional Old Regular Baptist style, and it just blows my mind. The Old Regular method is of course acapella, and involves one singer leading with a given line from the song, and the choir responding with the same line in return, and it is in my opinion as close as a Protestant church will ever come to the purity of Gregorian chant, which I do love dearly. I told Darlene that certainly heaven must have singing after this fashion, for it is certainly not of this earth.
