Woe unto them

The Old Testament prophet Amos declared "Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria," and surely this is something that should be said to the inhabitants of this nation as well in this present day. One would have thought that 9-11 would have awakened this nation, yet we still slumber in delusion, and political correctness! The days are coming, and I believe this with all my heart, that we will suffer a dreadful judgment from the throne of God, for exalting the celebrities, and the athletes to the status of divinity, while the ministers of the Gospel are mocked and ridiculed as being bigoted and ignorant because they suppose the scriptures mean what they say when they declare homosexuality a sin, lying a sin, lust a sin, and pride as being the vice that "goes before destruction." We concern ourselves over the rights of homosexuals to partake of an oxymoronic marriage, yet the idea that life in the womb is sacred is openly mocked by most.

Now I hope that no one takes me wrong (actually if you are politically correct, you are welcome to take me wrong), but I don't hate homosexuals, or abortionist. I do despise the sin they so vigorously promote as normal and convenient. I hate the error they live in, and of course some folks will say who are you to decide what is error and what isn't? They would be right indeed to question me. The only thing I will say is, there is an authority out there, one who is able to determine what is right and what is wrong. Even if you don't believe in such a thing as right and wrong, you will nonetheless face this authority figure. Personally I take the scripture at face value, and believe that it must be the final authority in my life, and I do believe it will be the rule by which all men are eventually judged. What judgment some would say? Many certainly don't believe in such a thing to come. You know, what it really boils down to is this, it doesn't matter whether you believe or not, the fact is, if the scripture is indeed true, you and I, and everyone else will face the judgment of God after this life is over, unless of course He returns first, then things will be expedited.
