The Body is Not...
The Holy Spirit has been opening my eyes to some truths lately and I just wanted to share a thought quickly before retiring for the night.
The Body of Christ (as Saint Paul call the Church) is not a religious institution. It is the collective number of all those who have responded to Him in faith and repentance, and these are not to be viewed as separate from Him, that is Christ. He is the head, and we are the body, and there is no separation between the two. There is not a dismembered body on the earth, and a head alone on the throne.
Ephes. 2:6
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
To understand just what you mean to Jesus, you must understand how critical it is for a head to have a body, and you are a member "in particular" of that most holy body. Christ is in this one sense incomplete without you, and is indeed dependent upon you, for He has not made you some ordinary creature, as the beast of the field, but you are His body.
