Looking For Something Special? Let Us Customize Your Hunt of a Lifetime!
The first thing an individual should understand about hunting in Alaska is precisely that it is "Alaska," and that this state is not to be confused with Wyoming, or Montana, or some other civilized place. While you might see a trace of civilization, even in the most remote parts of Alaska, you are not likely to stagger onto some guy's ranch. It pays to keep in mind that the largest wilderness area in the lower Forty-Eight can be crossed on foot in 24 hours (according to the experts), but this is certainly not the case in Alaska. Our hunts are fair chase, typically one hunter per guide (unless other arrangements are made) and they usually require that the hunter carry a full-size backpack at all times. Occasionally this can be avoided, but don't count on it. Individual hunters are expected to carry their fair share of any harvested animals back into camp, unless arrangements are made for a packer, and this is not something that can be arranged at the last minute, so be prepared. Every hunt has its own difficulties and requirements, so we recommend that you examine the link below that refers to the big game species that you are interested in. Tony
